Our Own Campus Radio - Lakecity Voice


Jagran Lakecity University launched its very own campus radio station under the initiatives of Jagran School of Journalism and Communication at Shree Gurudev Gupta Media Studios, Chandanpura campus, Bhopal. The aim of launching this radio station is to provide students with an exposure to industry and make them aware of the working of radio stations. The students will be mentored by renowned RJ Pinky has more than ten years of experience in this industry. 


This radio station is open for the students of all departments. They can come and learn the working of radio station
Honorable Chancellor Shree Hari Mohan Gupta, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Shree Abhishek Mohan Gupta, deans, and directors along with faculty fraternity were present at the launch of the radio station. Speaking on this launch, Honorable chancellor expressed his ecstasy and congratulated the team of the Lakecity Voice. He said “It brings me immense pleasure to see the young generation coming forward and building a career from a wide range of platforms and out of their interest. We ensure to provide a holistic approach methodology that provides every student an opportunity to equip oneself with the right tools and to analyze industry trend and scenario” Initially the radio has come up with three shows i.e. Campus, coffee and class; second ‘Bajabox’ and the third is ‘Storyboard’ which comprises of the stories written by the students of JLU. 
Another interesting thing about this radio channel is that the students of JLU is the producer, editor, copywriter and content curator who has been working hard to successfully run this channel.  
Various Celebrities including Filmmaker Ashok Pandit, Actor Jimmy Shergil, Master Chef Kunal Kapur, Singer/Composer Salim Merchant, Actress Ananya Pandey, Bollywood playback singer Aamantrikha  have shared their wishes with the team ‘Lakecity Voice’. People can listen to this radio through browsing the link available on the University website and its official Instagram handle.

New Year Comes with New Bliss

The bright sunshine and mild winds stir the leaves afresh at JLU as the New Year descends with new bliss. Where fog and mist engulfed the lush green campus, the pyramid gleefully basked in pride as 2019 turned out to be yet another amazing year for the JLU family. The year unfolded many new things and paved the way for a tremendous opportunity for the students. The University signed important Memorandum of Understanding with prominent foundations such as, in the month of March  HTWG Konstanz, Germany and JLU signed MoU to integrate across various academic, research and career opportunities. In the month of April, The University signed MoU with Global Education Management Services (GEMS) UK to get students International favor of the Hospitality Industry, cultural exchange, and internship opportunities. Another feather was added in our cap during this month as JLU  was announced as the 'only Private University of Central India to be featured amongst India's 100 Best Universities 2019'. In the month of May, JLU was ranked number 1 Private University in MP by Education World Rankings.


The university announced the collaboration with Indian Chef, Kunal Kapur as Chief Mentor of JLU School of Hospitality & Tourism. In the same month, Jagran School of Journalism and Communication was ranked amongst the Top 30 Media and Journalism School of India and Top 3 in the country for Male-Female Ratio by India Today. The month of June came with more colors as JLU won at Education World Higher Education Awards 2019 and ranked No. 1 in Madhya Pradesh. Our Honorable Pro-Chancellor, Abhishek Mohan Gupta featured in the 10th Anniversary issue of career 360 magazine. The new academic session kicked off this month which was followed by Orientation and Induction sessions. During this month, the University signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding with Cambridge Assessment English. In the month of August JLU collaborated with Witty Feed and launched 'JLU WittyFeed Centre for New Media'. The month also witnessed another collaboration with the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. The University signed another MoU with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and National Stock Exchange Academy (wholly-owned subsidiary of National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.)



A lot of University events, panel discussions,  symposiums took place throughout the year. Prominent guest speakers visited the university throughout the year such as Bryan Davis (Dean, California Baptist University, CBU) Craig Eggleton (MD, EdLink), Jawwad Patel (Indian Inventor, scientist, and social innovator) Prof Peter Kuznick (Professor of History and Director, Nuclear Studies, Institute at American University) Shri Bharat P. Maheshwari, Law officer to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Varun Sood, (Head of Academic Alliance, Comp TIA) to name a few. This year, Chef Kunal Kapur visited the University campus and judged the competition of Super Chef Junior. He also conducted a Master Class for the students of the School of Hospitality and Tourism. During this year JLU also inaugurated two major centres - JLU Centre for Public Policy & Governance and JLU Centre for Excellence in CSR. The University organized the National Roundtable Meet where experts and leaders came together to discuss the potential of these two sectors. JLU also launched its own campus radio - Lakecity Voice. The radio station will be solely driven by the students. In the month of December, the University celebrated its fifth Convocation ceremony where 519 UG and PG students received their degrees. The University conferred Honoris Causa to Dr. N Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Indian Council of Gandhian Studies and Chef Manjit Singh Gill, Corporate Executive Chef, ITC Hotels. The event was followed by the celebration of forth alumni meet which witnessed reunion of alumni with their Alma Mater. 2019 was indeed a year of many achievements. We look forward to have an amazing 2020!

Play Pause and Rewind !! JLU celebrates its Fourth Alumni Meet

A night full of nostalgia, fun, frolic, and laughter. Fourth Alumni meet saw what not to cherish as the alumni descend down to their campus and celebrated the moment of togetherness. The gala event saw the smiling faces reminiscing their memorable days, sharing heartwarming anecdotes and titbits with their old pals and faculty fraternity.


JLU organized its fourth Alumni meet under the initiatives of JLU Alumni Connect. On this occasion, the JLU Alumni portal was also launched which helps maintain a connection to the educational institution as it constantly strives to bring exclusive updates and benefits. It is a comprehensive platform to bond together, create a profile and share memories.


Celebrity Standup comedian Appurv Gupta was also the part of this event where he entertained the crowd with his wit and sense of humor. Amaan Khan, Alumnus of the University made the participants grooved on his rapping beats along with DJ Vicky.

Fifth Convocation Ceremony

Donned in beautiful robs with colored scarves, the batch of 2018-2019 flew their cap high in the air to commemorate their success on the occasion of the fifth convocation ceremony. On this occasion, the vibe of the campus dwelled in hues of happiness. Convocation 2019 was a day of great euphoria and joy for the graduates as well as their parents as it reminisced the students of their college days and reunited them with their friends and Alma Mater. 


 The Fifth Annual Convocation Ceremony was a day worth remembering for the students who graduated as they received their coveted degrees. A total of 519 graduands of various programs including management, engineering, and technology, journalism, and mass communication, hospitality and tourism, commerce and economics, law, humanities and social sciences,  sports science and physical education received UG and PG degrees; besides 1 Ph.D.,8 Gold Medals and 18 Rank Certificates were bestowed on the top rankers.


Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.)  Anoop Swarup congratulated the graduands saying ‘’It brings me immense pleasure to see the students excelling with flying colors. Your immense potential adds on to the growth of the country. You are on the verge of a bright future hence put in all the efforts to make your dream come true”


Shree Hari Mohan Gupta, Hon’ble Chancellor, JLU, presided over the ceremony. Shri Digvijay Singh, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, General Secretary, Indian National Congress and Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh delivered the convocation address. The University conferred Honorary Causa to  Dr. N Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Indian Council of Gandhian Studies, India and Chef Manjit Singh Gill, Corporate Executive Chef, ITC Hotels.


Upon receiving the Honor, Dr. N Radhakrishnan congratulated Jagran Lakecity University in being a pioneer to provide quality education in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He said ‘I am honored to be bestowed with this degree and acclaim the University management in setting a milestone to provide world-class education with state-of-the-art facilities not only to the students from Madhya Pradesh but also from the entire nation.’

Mindler Workshop organized at JLU


Jagran Lakecity University conducted a two-day workshop with Minder (India)       where Academicians, Counselors and practitioners came together to understand the significance of ‘career guidance and counseling, mentoring and coaching’. Mindler is advanced career guidance platform that leverages technology, research, machine learning and algorithms to enable students to discover their unique potential. The Industry stalwarts and master trainers guided the participants on acquiring and becoming a professional career counselor through International Certified Career Coach (ICCC) certification program.


Mindler helps people to become career coaches and paves the way to guide students to build their careers in the right direction. A proper guidance can give people a wider knowledge of the aspect that one needs to know and discover their hidden caliber which can lead them to build their career out of it. 



Nowadays, students have become far more individualistic and pick a career of their choices, which in turn sometimes may not be too fruitful and they end up making the wrong choices. It is beneficial for the young minds to get proper guidance for which the schools and universities are setting up counseling cell which could guide them in a better way.

Learnathon in Lakecity - An insight to 42 amazing workshops!


Students of Jagran Lakecity University and IBEAM conducted a marathon of learning where forty-two workshops of various genres were organized at the university campus. The aim of the learnathon was to impart knowledge in a more interactive and vibrant way. The event started on time with seven workshops running simultaneously at different rooms with a time slot of fifty minutes. As age was no bar, the event witnessed a footfall of more than a thousand people comprising of school students, millennials and elders as they attended the workshop of their interest. 

The event was graced by the presence of Prof (Dr.) Anoop Swarup,Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Khare Registrar, Prof. Diwakar Shukla, Director, and Dean, Jagran School of Journalism and Communication & External Affairs and Anup Dubey, Founder and faculty, Gurukul Education who was supervising the event.



From Food Blogging to stress management, creative writing to career decisions, the variant of workshops kept the audience glued to their chairs. The volunteer engaged the participants by carrying out various activities such as flashmob, and by making proper arrangement of snacks and beverages. The highlight of the event was some extra-ordinary workshop such as ‘Emotional Intelligence’, Branding, ‘Doodling and Mandala’. The instructors imparted the best of their knowledge in the allotted time slot of the workshops. 








Joel Dsouza, the stand-up comedian who was the finalist of ‘Comicstaan’ was also part of this fun learning activity as he took over the mike for standup comedy and entertained the crowd with his wit and an amazing sense of humor.










Overall, It was a very enriching experience for all the visitors.  Speaking on the success of this event, Dr. Vivek Khare Registrar said
‘We arethrilled to conduct this mega event where each workshop was in synchronization with current Industry trends and focused to instill knowledge so that the students grow morally, creatively and intellectually’. Students conducted many activities such as 'pet walk, flashmob to promote the event.

JLU collaborates with Cambridge Assessment English


Jagran Lakecity University’s Centre for Professional Skills has been approved as the Authorised Centre for University of Cambridge qualifications. This is the only such centre in the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. The Centre has liaised with Cambridge Assessment English, a division of the University of Cambridge, UK for high-level English Language examinations and certifications. With this development, the prospective candidates will have access to quality training for various Cambridge English Language qualifications along with having the convenience of taking the exams at an approachable venue. This will give an extra and definitive edge to the students and professionals across the state of Madhya Pradesh who want to acquire add on certifications and make themselves internationally relevant.

Workshop on Mixology - The art of cocktail and mocktail making

Inventions and innovations play a vital part in your career especially if you belong to the food and hospitality industry. Experimenting with food is a great idea for food lovers as it brings them a taste which they would have never experienced before. A new dish comes with a breath of fresh air and you get to have something different from the regular meals.


 To embrace Indian culture, people have been intrigued by adding different methods, from time to time and this culture of ‘Crafty Cuisine’ whets the appetite with some more added flavor. Merging of different flavors into different techniques has always been in fashion and to explore more on the concept of ‘Mixology’ Students of Jagran School of Hospitality and Tourism had a workshop on this. Mixology is the art of cocktail and mocktail where you get to know not only about the drinks and their traits but also the after results of the merging of alcoholic beverages. 

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Durgesh Rai, Director – Shake and Flair Academy and Mr. Niranjan Patel, Head Faculty – Shake and Flair Academy, Bhopal.
It had four different sessions in total. Beginning with the introduction of the bar, the speakers briefed about the opportunities in the bartending profession to classification of alcoholic beverages. The second session was on making of spirits where the speakers demonstrated live making of spirit through basic pot still apparatus. 
The students were told about the difference between pot still method and continuous still method. The third session was on the classification of methods of cocktail such as whiskey sour, mojito, cinnamon sour (signature cocktail invented by Mr. Durgesh Rai). 

The workshop concluded on question and answer round where the speakers answered various questions of students and provided them with different tips to make cocktails professionally.

Market Wizard


JLBS Marketing Club “MARKET WIZARDS” organized a series of learning and engaging activities namely- Logo Revamp, Go Green with Sparkling Faces and Branding with Diwali.The objective was to involve students to think more critically on various marketing concepts broadening their intellectual horizons. Almost 75 students from MBA, BMS, and BBA enthusiastically participated in their creative approach. Let’s give a quick read to all the activities.
Logo Revamp – The task was to redesign the logo of an existing brand. 30 Students accepted the challenge and recreated the logo of Fevicol spontaneously showing their creativity and innovation skills. Prof. Nikhil Maheshwari and Dr. Dinesh Kumar evaluated the students on the parameters of Creativity, Uniqueness, and Relevance. Prachi Singh Rajput (BBA III B) and Anjali Bhindia (BBA III B) secured the first prize whereas Sapna Soni (BBA III-A) and Sumaiya Rehman (BBA III-A) won the second prize.

Go Green with Sparkling Colors- The activity was a face painting competition with the “eco-friendly marketing” theme. A triumphant performance was delivered by 25 students of the JLBS. Dr. Ashish Khare and Prof. Swechcha Sharma judged the winning team as Muskan Sheikh (BBA III B), Anaiza Khan (BBA III B) and Sachi Badkul (BBA III B) and the runner-up team was Srabani Sarkar (BMS III), Ritika Parihar (BMS III) and Madhulika Patel (BMS III).
Branding with Diwali- The participants were given the task of designing a creative Diwali campaign. It was intended to connect students with creativity, making a strong brand recall and promotion of products and services. About 30 students participated in a team of 5 each. Dr. Ankush Sharma and Dr. Shekhar Upadhyay judged the winning team as Chaitali Batham (BBA III-A), Shivani Raikwar (BBA III-A), Parshvi Pahuja (BBA III-A) and Aditya Khatri (BBA III-A) and the runner-ups were Tayyaba Farooqi (BMS I B), Aditi Singh (BMS I B), Archi Jain (BBA III B), Acheentya Verma (BBA III-A).


Dean JLBS Dr. Nilesh Khare was specially present to motivate the students and appreciated the concept and the activities congratulating all the winners and participants.

JLU collaborates with Toastmaster International

Jagran Lakecity University in collaboration with Toastmasters International hosted the biggest Division Conference of Toastmasters Division A. Toastmasters International is a 95-year-old non-profit organization building a growing community for people to grow individually as well as collectively in not only public speaking and leadership but also their personalities

The event was organized under the initiatives of the JLU Literary Club. The conference witnessed speakers and evaluators from the state of Gujrat and Madhya Pradesh, who kept the audience glued to their chairs with their extraordinary skills. The speakers laid emphasis on unleashing their creative potential, improving public speaking skills, building self-confidence, self-awareness and a lot more. They urged the students to yank out of their comfort zone and do something extraordinary. The event gave a gist of creativity in a way that tickled the bones and sparked an array of thoughts. The audience was bowled over by the level of creativity that came out when the participants got the opportunity to showcase their talent. JLU literary club strives to encourage and promote an interest in reading and understanding the aesthetic and moral beauty of the English language. Its mission is to create a fun, inclusive and stimulating atmosphere.

Igniting Mind Lecture Series by Prof. (Dr.) Peter Kuznick


Jagran Lakecity University, School of Law organized an Igniting Minds lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Peter Kuznick, Professor of History and Director, Nuclear Studies Institute at American University on October 15, 2019. Prof. Kuznick enlightened the gathering on ‘Armed threats in the present world scenario’. Peter Kuznizk and Oliver Stone co-authored the book titled 'The Untold Story of the United States'
He discussed America’s ‘Nuclear Posture View’ and policies of various USA Presidents on Nuclear Arms. He also talked about the future possibility of ‘Unipolar Era’ where he claimed that the USA will become the dictator of the world as it refuses to live in a multi-polar world. Prof. Kuznick examined the role of developing economies in policies related to nuclear arms.





He commented on the conflict in various parts of the world which is posing a threat of a nuclear outburst. He ended his speech addressing many environmental issues and raised his deep concerns over global warming and nuclear winter. Students got the opportunity to interact with Prof. Kuznick on contemporary geopolitical issues

JLU bags award at NLIU Sports Fest, Bhopal

Jagran Lakecity University, School of Law emerged victorious at Virudhaka 2019, the annual sports fest of National Law Institute University, Bhopal. JLU-SOL bagged a total of 28 medals which include 8 Gold medals, 18 Silver medals, and 1 Bronze medal. We topped the medal tally and were awarded as the Best Team. The medals were scored in Basketball, Swimming, Table Tennis and Athletics.




To mark this momentous event, JLU-SOL organized a ceremony to celebrate the victory. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Chancellor Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Honorable Pro-Chancellor Shri Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Khare, Deputy Registrar Shri Pankaj Das and  Dean (Student Welfare) and Director, School of Law Prof. (Dr.) Yogendra Srivastava. Honorable Chancellor addressed the entire student of the body of JLU School of Law and motivated them with his remarkable words.
He congratulated the winners and inspired them to work hard and go beyond the barriers. Honorable Pro-Chancellor also expressed his delight and wished the students a bright and flourishing career

International Day of The Girl Girl Child


‘Educate a man and you educate an individual. Educate a woman and you educate a family’ as rightly said, Jagran Lakecity University celebrated ‘International Day of the Girl Child’ under the initiative of JLU social volunteering club. It is one of the many initiatives that have taken to uphold the girls of society across the globe. Every year, this day is celebrated worldwide to showcase the empowerment of the girl child. Dr. Somya Dwivedi, Chief Radiologist and Managing Partner at Qura Diagnostics & Research Centre delivered a special lecture especially for the female students of JLU.


It is important for us to explore the gender notion of space and look at the intersectional manifestations of gender bias. Every girl should be aware of her rights such as education, nutrition, forced child marriage, legal rights, and medical rights. The woman needs to be empowered by other women only, and society as a whole. The women who support each other are the women who grow together. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Somya Dwivedi, said ‘Woman is the core essence of life and it’s fortunate we are born as one. Right from the start, women have so many roles to play thus it is very important to create awareness for a healthier and more progressive society. Raising awareness through effective programs of education carves away to women’s attainment of healthy and fulfilling lives and improves the status of women in their decision-making capacities’ During her interaction with the students, she spoke on Women's
health issues and its awareness such as PCOD, Cervical Cancer, Feminine Hygiene, etc. On this occasion, the female students at JLU formed a human chain and pledged to create awareness and opportunity for women and girls to achieve their potential.

Jagran Lakecity University celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi


The ideology of Mahatma Gandhi was brought to light at Jagran Lakecity University where all the staff and faculty members gathered to celebrate his 150th birth anniversary. A live telecast of Honorable Chief Minister, Mr. Kamal Nath’s message was broadcast at the University Auditorium. Prof (Dr.) Anoop Swarup, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Khare, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava, Dean Student Welfare and Director, School of Law along with faculty and staff members took a pledge to come forward and contribute to Swachh Bharat Mission and propagate Gandhiji’s principles.







‘Gandhian ideals and ideas are in sync with ground realities and are neither utopian nor impractical to execute. They deserve a trail on the economic front too considering his revolutionary and scientific approach. Let us imagine and envision the future of the country on Gandhian lines to realize the India of Gandhi’s dreams’, said Prof Dr. Anoop Swaroop, Vice-Chancellor, JLU whose books on Mahatma Gandhi have been published to national acclaim. Mahatma Gandhi, a prolific writer had inspired millions of people during his lifetime and continues to inspire people around the globe. The fundamental postulates of Mahatma Gandhi provide new insights to a wide range of readers, scholars, social activists, policymakers as he always spoke and understood the language of the masses.

Master Class by Chef Kunal Kapur

The very talented and nationally renowned Chef Kunal Kapur conducted a Master Class which was highly anticipated by the students and staff members of Jagran Lakecity University. 

 The highlight of the event was ‘food, Flavour and Presentation’ where the master chef threw light on various approaches of presenting food such as New Nordic, Linear and plating and saucing approach. The culinary connoisseurs spoke on the various aspects which one faces right from the preparation to presentation of fine dining cuisines.








 ‘To satiate your palate one must have proper knowledge of flavor and presentation techniques. Bring on the passion of creating exotic cuisine for palatable delight and the food which whets your appetite’ said the chef. Some of the techniques which left the students awestruck where – Wipe and Drag, The classic swoosh, Glass Bottom, Spiral, Semi Circle and Splash the sauce which were done practically by the students.





The unique collaboration of JLU School of Hospitality and Tourism and Chef Kunal Kapur will benefit students with a plethora of knowledge as they will be mentored by the chef through his special classes and visits to the university campus. Commenting on the initiative, Prof. Nafees Naqvi, Director, Jagran School of Journalism and Communication said,



 “We are delighted to have such a unique collaboration where the students will be mentored by a chef who comes such vast expanse of knowledge” Students also had question-answer round with the chef where they asked him  about  his series Pickle Nation, Curries of India and many more.

Super Chef Junior: The culinary art competition


Two day culinary art competition culminated in announcing the winners at Jagran Lakecity University. The ceremony brought to a close the 3rd edition of Super Chef Junior competition in which students from top public and private schools participated. Celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur, who is also the brand ambassador of Jagran School of Hospitality and Tourism, was the judge of the final round.  Shivek Jhanda and Chitransh Sadhwani from DPS Neelbad were declared the winners, closely followed by Pragya Nair and Ravi Vichitra from Sanskar Valley School as the first runners up.  Parthsarthi Verma and Anidita from DPS Kolar were adjudged the second runners up.


Thirty different teams competed in exciting rounds and the
top six teams made their way to the finale. The students prepared various dishes like Strawberry Margherita, Apple Biryani, Cheerios, Burrito Pockets with Salsa, Death by Chocolate, Shikari Chicken to name a few. Chef Kunal Kapur addressed the students at JLU saying, “In order to excel in this competition, you would have spent months refining your culinary skills.  To make it this far you had to demonstrate to your tutors your ability to produce an edible dish using correct cooking techniques while maintaining proper sanitation habits all the while generating a final product of high quality and exceptional flavor. It’s heartening to see such efforts being made by JLU to elevate culinary art among children”

National Roundtable Meet on 'Nurturing an Ecosystem for Social Impact'


Jagran Lakecity University organized a Round Table consultation of experts, practitioners, policymakers, civil servants, academicians, and NGOs, on “Nurturing an Ecosystem for Social Impact”. The aim of the Round Table consultations was to discuss and deliberate on the potential of public policy and CSR as drivers of Social Change and the multifarious nature of the domains of public policy and CSR. The deliberations pointed to the way ahead, conceptually and operationally, and called for deep thinking and updating policies that are evidence-based and impactful along with the periodic reviews of status and progress vis-à-vis global benchmarks. It also indicated areas where new policies will enable the State to better cater to the needs of citizens from all levels.

JLU also formally launched two major Centres within the university viz JLU Centre for Public Policy & Governance and JLU Centre for Excellence in CSR.  The key vision of these Centres is to promote high-quality teaching and research in the fields of CSR, Public Policy, Governance and Administration. 

Speaking as a panellist during the plenary session, Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Chancellor Jagran Lakecity University said “Clearly India must do its part in creating mechanisms that lead to a more equitable social impact on people. Thus Public Policies and CSR initiatives by corporate and Society needs to be credible and sound and entail a roadmap to achieve the goals. With this roundtable and the launch of Centres, JLU intends to focus on citizen-centric public policy and CSR research and education”.Well known experts and leaders like Mr Manish Shanker Sharma, IPS Additional Director General of Police, Mr Manu Srivastava, IAS, Principal Secretary, Renewable energy and Commercial Tax, Ms.Veena Bandyopadhyay, Social Policy Specialist, UNICEF, Mrs Maya Maheshwari, IRS Faculty, RCVP, Bhopal, Dr Alok Misra, Professor, MDI, Gurgaon, Dr Y Suresh Reddy, Lead CSR and Director, SRF Foundation, Dr Neelam Gupta, President, AROH Foundation, Shri Satya Prakash Mangal, Director, NHPC,  and Dr Vineeta Dutta Roy
, Associate Professor and Head CSR, BIMTECC spoke around various thematic tracks like  ‘Mainstreaming the marginalized through education’, ‘Shifts in the public relations to the policymaking process’, ‘Imperatives of Public Policy in the age of social media’ Citizen centric Administration topic: Accessibility, Accountability and Transparency  and Impact Driven CSR: Innovative, Collaborative and Sustainable
The credo of Jagran Lakecity university ‘Igniting Minds changing Lives’ came alive through this roundtable meet where possibilities of bringing a change was explored.  The panel came up with many exciting ideas as to how we can progress with the mechanism of Public Policy and CSR.

Igniting mind lecture titled ‘Changing Lives through Research and Innovation’ organized by JLU - School of Engineering and Technology


JLU School of Engineering and Technology organized an Igniting mind lecture titled ‘Changing Lives through Research and Innovation’. The Lecture was delivered by Mr. Jawwad Patel, innovator and research scientist. The enthralling session was graced with the presence of Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup, Registrar Prof. Dr. Vivek Khare, Faculties, and students.

'We should always strive to work for the people of our nation, India and for its progress in the field of Science and Technology. We should innovate and invent according to the problems and situations that the rural and urban people face in their daily lives. People should identify ways to make lives of our countrymen better through their social innovations and inventions' shared Mr. Patel, who is



 the recipient of National Award Excellence in Research and Innovation from Government of India – The Highest Civilian Award for Youth in India and The Diana Award for Social Innovations from Government of the United Kingdom. He further added that observation plays a very important role in our life. He said, 'Each of us should be an absolute observer as we have the whole world in need to be corrected. People should think beyond the normal'. Mr. Patel also told about some of his inventions so far, i.e. Dewdrop, Epidermus, Agritech, Solar car, IoT, Non-Invasive Glucose-meter, etc. are all serving the purpose of creating a positive social impact in both the urban and rural society and changing lives.
