The University's global immersion program allows our students' study duration of 2- 4 weeks with one of our many global partners. The courses are intensive modules and cutting edge thinking across a range of disciplines delivered at host university campus followed by certification in the areas like media, advertising, journalism, design, management, engineering, law & entrepreneurship etc. all for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students combined with extracurricular activities.

We can proudly say that we have recently strengthened our partnership with the University of Arts London, which has offered our students with summer school programs at the London College of Communication.

Alumni Speaks: Arham Elyas Khan

It is not too hard to overstate the meaningful contributions that Jagran Lakecity University has made to enhance my personality. I had an opportunity to be with the best professors who have made profound contributions both in and out of the classroom. The entire faculty has a nuanced and sophisticated understanding of the corporate trends and events. I will always be obliged to Dr. (Prof.) Vivek Khare who has been a constant support to me throughout my college time and without whom things would have been difficult.

The leadership and management skills that I had learned in this college directly correlate with situations that I experience while working as a professional today in one of the leading multinational companies in building material.

The MBA program offered here provides a platform to study many different leadership theories and also provides an opportunity for self-reflection and a true understanding of one’s own leadership style. Doing MBA from Jagran Lakecity University has changed the way I view the world. The skills and experiences that are acquired throughout the program give students the mindset and confidence to face any difficult situation that they might encounter in future.

Studying at Jagran Lakecity University has enabled me to develop better time management skills and developing a greater understanding of my own leadership style. Understanding how to put theoretical practices into everyday situations has been one of my strongest points.

I have many entrepreneurial aspirations including starting up my own business in the future. The program has provided me with the entrepreneurial tools that are necessary to understand unique selling points and competitive advantages that are essential in establishing a sustainable business.

Bringing the World to our Classrooms: Cultural Exchange 2017

Culture is a window reflecting the history, cultural and spiritual world of a nation, a Cultural Exchange is a bridge to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of different nations.

In an era, so set on the idea of evaluation through marks, Jagran Lakecity University has proved to be an outcast, where quality education is imparted not only through books but outside the box as well.
Culture Exchange helps students in adapting and learning about a new environment and provides an opportunity to learn about different cultures from a local perspective. Companies of all types nowadays work with international clients and partners and it has been observed that the work culture is more diverse, hence such programs help students polish their communication skills and make it easier for them to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. We provide our students with ample opportunities to interact with students from all over the world to exchange their views and methodologies.

This year was no different. The Jagran Lakecity University, School of Commerce and Economics conducted a cultural exchange event where students from California Baptist University took part in an interactive session with our students. The program led by Deborah Rebecca Sam was an initiative by EdLink Bhopal, based on cross cultural interaction and enrichment. The student delegates were Daniel Gottob (Psychology), Lisa Orona, Troy Mitchell (Health Science), Cassie Fuire, Cassie Vela, Brook Young (English) and Gwen Ramirez (Nutrition) along with 2 faculty members, Mr. Ian Price and Mr. Bernard Dafney.

The program started on a light note with two musical performances by the students of California Baptist University and one by our students. The real thought exchange, however, began with the question and answer session. Critical topics such as ‘role of women in the Indian society’, ‘religious freedom in India’ and ‘current political issues’ were discussed. Our students succeeded in providing a thorough insight on 'education in India' to the student delegates, whereas they enlightened the audience on ‘communities, caste traditions, and challenges faced by American citizens’.

The whole interaction turned out to be an enthusiastic and fun affair. The student delegates expressed gratitude for the hospitality and support they received in India.

New Initiatives at Jagran Lakecity University: The Student Services Cell

“In a world so big, getting lost seems like the easiest thing to do.” The saying holds true especially to a student entering a maze like complex structure of a university. Where even the ordinary tasks like tuition fee deposition, membership renewal, internship applications and numerous other seem unmanageable. The distress isn’t just limited to the formal commissions but also psychological. A student may suffer from stress and anxiety of being in a new environment. Also, the grievances at times get the better of them.

Most of the universities do nothing in order to address this flaw. However, the Student Services Cell at Jagran Lakecity University has been established with the sole purpose of smoothing out University life for a student. The Student Services Cell, unlike any other department, recruits alumni for they have a better understanding of the problems faced by the students on campus. The department aims at being a one-stop solution to student's queries and any information that they might need. From general information to guidance, scholarships to skill development equality and sustainability, from internships to facilitation, our student advisers act like an interface between the students and the management.

This department, headed by Ms. Aditi Takiar, apart from ensuring constant communication between the University and students, also regulates the functionality of various clubs intended for a comprehensive growth of the student. The students may seek appointments with Ms. Radhika Saran and Ms. Harshita Ajneriya (Executive, Student Services) for regular counseling and can contact Ms. Aditi Takiar on urgent matters.
